WW2 German 'Kleiderklasse' Luftwaffe Officers Visor Cap
A high quality Luftwaffe officers visor cap by the popular maker Clemens Wagner .
Cap is double marked to both sweatband & liner with gold etched wording 'Luftwaffe , Berlin SW68 First Class ( Braunschweig) ' referring to the Kleiderklasse of cap that could be purchased by the officer direct from the Luftwaffe & paid off in instalments with the use of a book in which the payments were recorded by the officer. The wording 'Stirndruckfrei' ( genuine free of forehead pressure ) & patents underneath this denote use of the system which took pressure off of the forehead & could be purchased at extra expense. Top quality melton wool finish with high saddle shape & bullion insignia professionally handsewn to the cap. There is a tear to the sweatband however this allows us to see the ink stamped date of 1941 to underside of the leather .
Size tags of '55' still present & an overall high quality cap with no damage.
