WW2 German Hauptmann Named Double Decal Army Helmet
A desirable double decal army M35 helmet with a good proportion of its original apple green paint remaining. Named to a 'Hauptmann' on inside rear skirt.
This M35 'ET64' helmet retains both largely intact army & tricolour decals with natural age toning & fine age crackling only seen on original decals. The apple green paint is good to inside & out with some natural service wear & scuffing to be expected on well fielded helmet. To the inside rear skirt is a handwritten name with rank abbreviation 'Haupt' for Hauptmann ( Captain ) . The 'ET' (Eisenhutten) marked helmet shell has the size '64' with lot number '3960'. Liner band is aluminium reinforced & dated 1939. Leather liner shows service wear with a tear to forehead area where there is some dark staining possible indicating a casualty helmet. Original drawstring still present. The aluminium buckled chinstrap is intact.
