A true combat worn Artillery officers private purchase high quality M36 Pattern tunic with all original insignia.
The flat wire officers machine woven breast eagle is tailor applied . A deep and fine set of alloy wire collar tabs and numerous medal and combat award tailor applied bar tack stitches are present. There is a fine silk Russian front ribbon to the button fly . The shoulder boards are to a lieutenant and with numbers 857 above each single pip . The lining is a a deep dark green silk with multiple machine quilting and areas of padding , this again showing the very high quality of this jackets manufacture . The original Dagger clip still remains in place . A wonderful candidate as a basis for a combat officer display
The 857th Howitzer Abt. had 12 guns (3x4) & Mot designation but was only partially motorized Abt until 1942.
