WW1 German K98AZ - Erfurt 1917

A very impressive matching numbered example of the K98AZ made by Erfurt & dated 1917.
Woodwork is excellent with no unsightly damage & metalwork retaining much original blueing. Cocks , strips & dryfires . Comes with UK certificate of deactivation dated 1989.

The K98AZ was introduced in 1908 and was originally issued to cavalry, artillery, bicyclists, pioneers, telegraphists, telephonists and motor transport troops. Later in the war it was also issued to Storm troops for trench raids die to its practical carbine type size.
