WW2 German M36 Panzer Troops Tunic
An M36 NCOs tunic with pink piped collar tabs for panzer troops.
This tunic is a later production dark green collared M36 most likely for a best dress event such as a wedding. The classic bluish green wool & dark green collar are distinctively early features with interior lining being a mix of rayon & grey twill. The reverse of front fly panel shows dice stampings & the date 1943 with first field dressing pocket having original fastening button. Collar tabs are of the preferred early pattern with branch of service litzen predating the universal pattern that came in from around 1940. Both tabs are originally machine stitched to the tunic with there having been no previous placement. The white on dark green breast eagle has been neatly handstitched & no doubt professionally tailor applied at the time. A certain amount of tailoring appears to have been carried out again pointing to this being a best dress tunic . A button has been placed to the right shoulder area for attachment of what was most likely a shooting lanyard. Overall condition is excellent with there being only two small moth nips to the rear shoulder blade area ( See pictures ).
