WW2 German 'P-Kasten' MG Tin In Tan Paint

An excellent example of the steel 'Patronenkasten 41 fur MG' in late war tan paint which has the stencilled 'O' for Oil marking on side denoting its use as a P-Kasten to contain Oil & Petroleum oilers for maintenance of the MG42 .
This version of the German ammunition tin was introduced in 1941 & had the addition of a waterproof rubber seal inside the lid which vastly improved previous models. In late war ordnance tan paint it has never had leather keepers to its handle these omitted on later versions. Marked with three letter code to lid 'bzl' with eagle & swastika waffenamt inspection marking . Unusually there is a second ink stamped waffenamt marking to the interior floor of the tin. P-Kasten markings varied this version ahving a large stencilled 'O' to one side & remnants of another marking to the other.
