WW2 German Artillery Regt. 31 Waffenrock

A private purchase waffenrock from an other rank of the 31st Artillery Regiment. Thus tunic has shoulder boards with the number '31' denoting his regiment & also a name label reading ' Wehn 7/ AR.31 ' to interior pocket.
Constructed from a lightweight doeskin fabric it has issue quality red backed collar tabs & matching cuff insignia as per regulations. Both are totally original to this piece. The bullion breast eagle is original to the tunic as other ranks could purchase their own so it is not uncommon to see bullion eagles on other ranks Waffenrocks as well as as a whole other plethora of individual high quality features that could be bought by the wearer at his own expense. Faint traces of a proof marking just about remain above the interior pocket these applied to private purchase garments after inspection of suitability . Often these markings were never applied or poorly applied so can be very difficult to still see today. Corporal chevron to left sleeve.
In excellent condition with no damage I can find no trace of any moth.
