**Fresh To The Market** WW2 German M42 Combat Helmet With Chinstrap
A totally untouched & fresh to the market German M42 helmet complete with its original chinstrap & pigskin liner.
This helmet is typical of the mid to late war German steel helmet worn by the infantrymen of the Army & SS devoid of insignia as per the order of 1943. On close examination it can be seen that an army decal partially exists under the paint no doubt covered to comply with the 1943 regulation. Exterior is factory painted in a rough slate grey paint now exuding an appealing naturally aged patina from prolonged loft storage. All three liner pins are undisturbed & 100% original to the helmet . Interior evidences a buildup of dust , dirt & grime between the liner band & shell , the band is tight to the helmet with no movement whatsoever. Faint markings to rear of the shell read 'CKL64 ' & '*732'. Liner is of the slightly later pigskin with no damage whatsoever & its tightening cord still present. Finally , leather chinstrap is still supple & with grey painted steel buckle.
