WW2 German M39 Smoke Stick Grenade 1939/40

Very nice example of the M39 smoke stick grenade. This piece has a grooved handle which was introduced to distinguish between HE & smoke when used in the dark. Head has a high proportion of its original green factory paint remaining with its red oxide anti rust undercoat visible in places. Good clear stencilling & white Waffenamt stamp to top of head. Wood handle marked 'RR 805 ' ( Richard Rinker ) with date 1939. Complete with screw cap & housing.
