WW2 German Early War Luftwaffe Gas Mask Set

An early gas mask set with dark blue painted canister for troops of the Luftwaffe.
This is the early short pattern with web pulled closure latch & 1935 date to spare lens compartment. Both long & short carrying straps have leather reinforcers al totally original to the tin. One packet of spare lenses to lid. The M31 rubberised gas mask is 1939 dated to inside edge of facepiece with eagle & swastika marking. There is wear to the leather edging & some small hardly noticeable splits to the edges in places. 1939 date to snout. Fe41 filter still has faint markings. Bottom of tin has a rank & name of wearer.
