WW2 German M42 Luftwaffe Single Decal Helmet

A very nice Luftwaffe single decal M42 'raw edge' helmet complete with chinstrap.
This helmet is painted in a heavily textured dark blue-grey with dotted wing variant Luftwaffe decal. All these features are totally correct for an 'HKP' manufactured helmet such as this. Underside of rim has the lot number '2979' & markings 'HKP62' for the firm 'Sachsische Emailler' which was formally 'SE' but changed tp HKp during late M40 production. A search of the Brian Ice lot numbers book results in an exact match on these details for this helmet. The zinc metal liner band is dated 1943 with leather lining totally intact with no damage to tongues. Tightening cord still present. Its black leather chinstrap is original to the helmet & has an RB number visible to pointed end. There is a small non detracting stress tear to short buckle section , see image .
Fine condition overall with some minor rust spots in palces .
