WW2 German M40 Infantry Tunic With Krim Shield

An M40 army Infantry NCOs tunic with Krim shield to left sleeve.
This tunic is of the classic M40 cut , basically the same as its M36 predecessor but now with field grey collar as of 1940. Equipment belt hooks to both front & rear. Tunic has been worn by an Unteroffizier with NCO tress added to collar & universal green on light grey collar litzen seen as of 1940. The bevo breast eagle is very professionally machine sewn to the tunic & has been in situ for a very long time. I have left both shoulder boards on the tunic as it came to me these for rank of Unterfeldwebel with white Infantry piping. Two award loops to left breast pocket. To left arm is sewn a totally original field grey backed Krim shield showing this NCO to be a veteran of the fighting & capture of the Crimean region under Field Marshall Mansteins command in 1941/42 . Interior of tunic is lined, typically, in beige cotton twill with dice stamped size markings & 1940 dated 'Munchen' inspection marking. All three of its original collar liner buttons still present to underside of collar.
A tunic that has clearly been worn on combat service it has a very appealing amount of wear to nap of the cloth & no unsightly holes , damage or moth.
